For research you can also check out smartmoney.com. US residents won't have problems. International buyers have to set up special accounts, but it may be worth checking into.

If you haven't heard of MP3 yet, go listen to some CD quality music from top artists. But you have to have a soundcard...
Macromedia
Flash is the next upcoming stuff. If you haven't seen it yet, this site has a list of other sites that use Flash and Shockwave. This stuff is unbelievable. Make sure you're on a relatively fast modem though (56K or T1 connection) or you'll be waiting.
