I got into Up With People through hosting.
I joined Up With People because:
I wanted to travel and loved doing community service. UWP was a fantastic opportunity to do both and make a difference!
Favorite memory from staging:
Finding out what cast we were and the induction.
Favorite city during our tour and why:
Rome because I had a fantastic host family and we were there for so long
I had the opportunity to really get to know them and the city.
Since Up With People I am:
happily married to Charles Williamson. No kids -- yet.
Greatest accomplishment since UWP:
Completing an internship at the White House.
Occupation:
Wholesaler for Janus Funds.
What you are doing now:
Right now, I am on a forced sabbatical from my job. I work for Accenture, which is a management and business consulting company. They gave me the choice in October to either get laid off or take a sabbatical. So, I am now working retail at the local mall, substitute teaching, and taking a break from corporate America.
Other Information You Want to Share:
We were transferred to the NY Metro Area for Charles' job. So, anyone who is living or visiting the area should call!
